The Club House
A Home Away From Home
A committee under the chairmanship of the late Myles Murphy working with designers and builders completed the new clubhouse in 1981. It was officially opened by the then captain Mr. Hugh O’Donnell in Dec 1981.
Club House and Facilities
in the mid nineties a new committee was formed under the chairmanship of Seamus Hanley to renovate and extend the building to it’s present size. The renovated clubhouse was officially opened by Jack Lynch,
President of The Golfing Union of Ireland, in June 1998.
The facilities include:-
- Men’s and Ladies locker/dressing rooms with shower and toilet facilities
- General Manager’s office and clerical staff area
- Fully equipped Pro-Shop
- Two Fully licensed Bars
- Restaurant capable of catering for up to 150 persons
- Board room available to outside groups
The extended clubhouse bar offers a panoramic view over the Shannon Estuary. The driving range and the practice putting green are situated beside the clubhouse with the putting green directly in front of the
glass fronted main bar.
The glass panelled restaurant overlooks the first tee and the eighteenth green adding to the relaxed and friendly
atmosphere apparent in the restaurant and bar areas.
